What to expect
Group activities and mentoring give young people opportunities to get to know others, develop confidence and talk about moving to secondary school.

Finding confidence in new spaces
A young person joined Engage feeling anxious about the move to high school. They chose small goals with staff, used creative activities to explore feelings and gradually joined wider TD1 activities. Predictable routines and trusted relationships helped them build friendships and practise social skills. Over time, they began asking for help when needed and welcoming newer young people to the hub.
“I love TD1. I like talking to all the staff, I have lots of fun and it has given me confidence.”
