Child Protection

TD1 Youth Hub takes its responibsility to the safety and well-being of children and young people very seriously. The organisation has a full policy, which can be viewed below which is designed to keep children and young people safe. We work in partnership with local stakeholders to ensure all children and young people are protected from harm.

All staff and volunteers who have a role within TD1 Youth Hub are subject to clearing and Enhanced Disclosure Scotland scheme check and members of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.

The Child Protection Officer for the organisation is the Manager and for any concerns they should be raised to them first.

Young people have the right to confidentiality, as a general rule of thumb information disclosed by a young person to a worker will remain confidential. If the information is requested to be shared the young person will be informed and permission sought.

Under certain circumstances, such as those below, information may be shared with 3rd parties regardless of permission.
- someone else is at harm or risk
- young person is at significant harm or risk
- where others aged under 16 are at risk of a child protection or safeguarding situation.
